＊もうひとつ加えて３つ目のジャイロスコープということ。
would have required は仮定法過去完了形の帰結節。過去の事実の反対の
仮定を表す。つまり、今回のミッションで先の２基が取り替えられたので、次
に述べられることをする必要はなくなったということ。この文では if-節は主
語 the loss〜によって代用されている。
